RRP Clean Oil Feed System (COFS) Complete Kit.
The MKIII Black Edition COF (Clean Oil Feed) adapter will allow you to block dirty oil from the engine feeding the OMP (Oil Metering Pump) for injection into the combustion chamber. Instead via the integrated oil feed you can hook up to a separate clean oil reservoir feeding the engine with good clean oil which in turn lowers the build up of carbon deposits inside the engine increasing performance and longevity.
Another benefit due to the engine oil not reaching the combustion chamber is that you can run fully synthetic oil in the sump which increases Stationary Bearing protection and increases service intervals to that of conventional engines.
The RRP MKIII improves on the MKII COFs adapter which was regarded as the best adapter on the market for the Rx8. The MKIII is now an all in one design with no separate 10mm barb, this is now part of the actual COF body reducing the areas which could leak. The drive has also undergone changes now being 90 degrees offset providing additional stability when mounted to the OMP. Finally the MKIII is 33% (8mm) thinner than the MKII releasing precious space especially for those with top mount turbo kits.
The RRP MKIII adapter is the only adapter to offer a top mount feed so oil is not fighting gravity to feed the OMP, in addition the RRP COFs uses the OEM seal and not paper seals as with other types of adapters which are prone to leaks.
The RRP MKII Installation Support Kit provides an easy to install solution for your COF/SOHN adapter. The custom machined Aluminium tank will replace the OEM plastic water reservoir increasing the aesthetic appearance of your engine bay as well as retaining all OEM functions.
Windscreen Reservoir
The water reservoir has a huge 3.1L capacity the largest of any COF/SOHN support kit on the market, it also retains all the OEM features such as low-level switch and headlight washers*
This also benefits from a custom filtered vented chamber cap so there it no build of vacuum but also protecting the internals from FOD.
Oil Reservoir
The Oil reservoir has a 1.9L capacity which is the largest of any off the shelf design for the COF/SOHN adapter, inside there is an optional mounted level switch which can be hooked in the oil sump level switch loom and therefore warn you of low oil via the OEM low oil light on the dashboard. The low oil light will operate when you have approximately 320ml of oil remaining in the tank.
